潔米品課 ⋈: 「交換學生Day108」- 結束了最後一次的speech / 手作聖誕小卡

燈愣！結束完speech後的心情總是特好：Ｄ再加上我今天做的可愛小卡片當做封面簡直完美ＸＤ哈哈哈哈完全自己講。

不知道有沒有說過這次的speech，是persuasive speech，然後我覺得我這次是我這學期講得最順也最好的一次了！我做的主題是study abroad，也就是我自己本身的經驗，不得不說我真的覺得在國外讀書這件事情完全是我人生巔峰啊，根本人生目標了，在國外唸書真的是很棒的一件事情，所以我本身就很想慫恿大家申請交換，只要不要跟我同時就好ＸＤ

那我就把講稿搭配ppt放上來：Ｄ

Three years ago, I was going to a regular routine. As all of you, I just entered into my college as a freshman and enjoyed my entire new college life. One day, I was sitting in the classroom and listening to the class, a thought suddenly jumped out of my mind that “Is this it? I spent my past years to study hard in order to get into a good college to be different than others, and now I'm just sitting here like all the other students in my college, spending 4 years to get a diploma and being no different than others.” This is definitely not what I want. I want to be different. I want to do something special than my classmates. Therefore, I decided to apply for exchange student program. Since that time, studying abroad became the only goal in my college life.

Studying abroad is one of the most fascinating things that you can possibly ever do. I'm here to persuade you that studying abroad is very cultural and you will learn so much more things about life.

This summer I came here to be an exchange student for a year. There are three benefits that you can get from studying abroad. One is to learn a language, another is to experience a different culture, and the other is to meet people from different countries.

As you know, nowadays language is getting more and more important because of globalization. We need to learn other languages to become more competitive. You should heard about that the best way to learn a foreign language is to go to a foreign country. But compared to just traveling abroad, studying abroad is a better choice because you may have long enough time to learn the language. Honestly I'm not good at English at all. People in my country never talk to each other in English. As being a student in the United States, it provides me a good opportunity to learn English because most of the people have no idea how to speak Chinese and I had to speak English the whole time. The environment pushes me to speak English. The more that I use my language, the more that I learn about it. Although It has been only 3 months since I came here, my communication in English improved a lot.

As what I said, Studying abroad provides you the best way to learn a language. What's more, it gives you an opportunity to experience different culture. Most people here are used to take a shower in the morning, but in Taiwan we take shower at night before we sleep. It is common to have a same class twice even three times a week, but in Taiwan most of the class only be taught once a week. And last week I just experienced my first Thanksgiving in the country. I went to my housemate's house and celebrate the day with her family. Before I came here, I only heard about Thanksgiving in some American dramas or movies, and now I'm glad that I can have such an impressive experience in person. Maybe you wouldn't understand my feeling because you have celebrated it for years, but different countries own their different festivals. If you go studying abroad, you may have a chance to participate in local festival and culture which is totally different than yours.

Till now I have mentioned about two benefits of studying abroad. The last one is to meet people from different countries. Although you can still meet foreigner in your country, studying abroad provides you a easier way to do it. As an international student, when you first come to the school, you may need to get along with lots of other international students because the school will have orientation or many activities only for students from other countries. Meeting people form different countries can let you know about different culture during the conversation. For example, since I came here I met many international students who are from Spain, Japan, and Korea. My spanish friend told me about the financial crises in Spain. Before it I only read about it in my text book so it was so impressive to me. My japanese friend told me about their wedding. Their costume for wedding is very special. My Korean friend taught me to make Korean food and she even recommended me to book Korean food online. And once I tried it I love it. Studying abroad gives you a good chance to encounter people from different counties and through them you can learn lots of things that you might not know.

In conclusion, If you ask me what is the most important decision in my life so far. I will definitely say that it is to study abroad. It will make your life so different and broaden your horizon. You can learn a language, experience a different culture, and meet people from other countries. And hopefully you will get the chance to study abroad one day because it's completely worth it.

晚上的時候收到Nicole問我要不要去今晚的movie活動，但其實我完全沒有注意到，她說mail有寄所以我回去宿舍之後就馬上確認一下發現是晚上六點半然後在某間hall的交誼廳有elf電影跟吃餅乾甜甜圈喝熱巧克力以及做卡片的小活動，Nicole說她想去可是他有客到九點所以提早結束就要去，我想說晚上也沒什麼事既然都解決的大魔王speech就出去休息一下好了，反正到了晚上我也就去了，不過可惜的是nicole的課似乎沒有提早結束，於是我就隻身前往了～
